I just pulled my turbo and exhaust manifold to replace the gasket and to hollow-out the pre-cat. You can do it with jackstands.

I left my radiator in as I did not want to have to drain and refill. That made the job long and arduous as my tool-clearance was not very much, but it was doable.

Plan on loosing a quart or so of coolant when you disconnect the turbo from the coolant lines.

Keep track of what bolts go where.

Other than all that, it is pretty easy really, just time consuming.

Hollow-out the pre-cat while you are at it.

yup...no precat worries if you are adding a downpipe to the mix.

You may not use all the mounting brackets that the pre-cat currently uses. You can take these off if so and drop a few extra pounds off the front-end. You will already be lighter by a good 10 pounds with the full exhaust. The precat and elbow are both cast and heavy as hell.

let us know how it goes!
