I picked this up last year and kept it under wraps up here in Boston.

Before I actively try and sell it. Wondering if anyone dwon south
(Much greater 3SGTE support in FL, and No snow. )
would be interested in a 6gc ST205 swap (3sgte & AWD running gear) ?
$ 12k ?

PM me for More pics and info. I may put it up in the for sale section soon.

Full running gear, meaning awd? Was it made into awd or was the chasis already setup for AWD?

I would consider getting rid of my car for a "205"

Yes !

Isn't that was "S W A P" Implies ?

You've contributed so much to us 5th gen I'd hate for you to do that.

I do not want this or any thread to devolve into it is " impossible to do an awd swap" or a good/bad/safe/ too expensive/stupid idea.... :twisted:

FL people have seen swaps Before. And there is no snow.
Just starting, and testing the waters here. :smokes:

I was trying to ask in a way to not divulge too much info in case you were worried about DOT if it was imported. ;)

BTW: You can have a 205 running gear in fwd mode. You can remove the transfer and convert the gearbox to 2wd.

I'll be keeping my car. Too much of my own blood is in it for me to give it up. :D

Good luck with the sale.

Try having 3 projects.... :p By the way, did you register it down here? I finally got the PNs for the ST205 fuel tank and trunk floor pan. Looking to order them late September. PM me. We'll talk. You can always leave it for your son (or should I ask, is that your son in the car?).. :)

Is there something about the 6gen that makes conversion easier? This isn't the first 6gen conversion that I have seen. I know everybody says the conversion on the earlier models is next to impossible without tons of fabrication. Just wondering.

Hi Mike;

> Is there something about the 6gen that makes conversion easier?

I dunno, probably all about equal ? But there were no ST205's imported,
so there is no choice but to convert, if you want AWD & turbo.

Several around.

Anything is possible with time and money.
The discussions have been done to death. Everyone said
the 6gc conversion couldn't be done. :evil:
