Hey guys I've got a friend of mine who's a suspension specialist/machinist, he's in the middle of making me a set of poly mounts for my 165, I'm pretty sure the 165-185 are interchangable someone correct me if I'm wrong and if he will be selling kits to those who are interested, no group buy required. I'll get more details, pics etc if anyones interested but as of right now they'll be local sales only, also he's working on kevlar body panels and for us that could save some wieght. My car/parts will probably be the guinea pig and I have other 185 parts as well that he can use. If anyones interested post up any questions and I can get you more info. Thanks

Hey cool, nice to see some Canadians getting into the poly scene. Would be nice to deal in Canadian dollars for a change, not pay extra shipping and support our economy. And you'll be bulletproof :shoots: in all that Kevlar. Keep us posted :)

good to see this kinda interest, I should have the mounts done by monday, any suggestions or preferences on colors? I'm thinking of dark blue or dark green, nothing to flashy like lime green, orange, purple etc, although i don't doubt that some cars could pull it off.

Edit: Front and rear strut bars as well will be fabbed up soon as well!

polyurethene is so 1990's. you can goto home depot and buy a tube to fill your mounts for 10 bucks.
there is a new material i have been looking to use for them but I just cant get a good source in canada.

forget the mounts lets see some kevlar baby!!

I have to agree. There are already a number of different bushing kits available.

I'm personally interested in the kevlar panels.

Any chance narrow body panels could be considered as well?

Hey....

soonish....I'll need some fenders, rear quarters and a sunroof for my ST165 ......so kevlar will do it for me quite well....although....I would be more than OK with some quality fiberglass or aluminum as well....or even high quality molded plastic !!!???

the body panels won't be for a little while, over the winter sunroof panels, and the hoods are gonna be focused on, I'll keep you guys posted.

For now the first draft will just be a OEM style no vents or scoop and theres a hood at a local wreckers I'd prefer to get that just in case this goes downhill I don't owe anyone a hood and don't build up a bad rep :)

I'm interested in the kevlar stuff too... any ideas on cost, like a ballpark figure?

185 front fenders would be nice...
The Polish guy that makes poly-bushings is pumping these fiberglass ones out now at about $185 CAD/pair + Shipping:
ST185 http://gt4.istore.pl/pl/blotniki-przednie-wide-body-szerokie.html
ST165http://gt4.istore.pl/pl/blotniki-przednie.html
Which are supposed to be available in NA through Red Rocket Performance & Design but the website is 502'd

Anyone know how easily repairable would kevlar be Vs. fiberglass?

@leaves,

you should donate your st185 rc hood and get two kevlar replacements. one for me, one for you.

i'm interested in kevlar wheel well guards and skid plates.
