the jdm harness has a different computer, looks completely different. has tons of things we dont as well. FYI guys. JDM 165 harnesses have grey computer connectors too.

I have an ecu with grey connectors. PN ends with a 1 instead of a zero. JDM?

I think yours is the '89 ECU, part number #89661-20361.

but grey connector will mean updated jdm ecu.
yellow jdm ecu's with yellow connector are pre update ones.

Mafix, are updated JDM ECUs the same as updated USDM ECUs?
The USDM '89 ECU part number #89661-20361 has grey connectors;
the USDM '88 ECU part number #89661-20360 has yellow connectors.

From your experience, is there any appreciable difference between the two ECUs?
Got a pic of your updated JDM ECU? I'm wondering how different it looks...

for the GE the difference is more or less in the cold start area
i've never used a 89 gte 165 ecu.
