been driving round for a few days now. ive put 400klms on her clock braking in the clutch. going good.
still not running an intercooler...
got a wheel alignment she handles so much better now. but i found out a few bushings are toast. does any one know of a cheap place to get bushes? just wanna see if my local shop is ripping me off?
car pulls great boost comes on hard bout 3.5k all the way till 5,5k where it starts to run out of puff.
but the car is always back firing when i lift off the throttle. doesnt bother me but is this normal?
its a full gen 3 swap running a walbro 255lph pump...
once im more finanical (month or two) im gonna go aircon bushings rear shocks air con..
after those nesscaities its onto bost gauges and controllers etc.
currently enjoying braking her in. havnt been on a hard run yet just boosting here and there trying to take it easy

up to about 1200klms. so far so good. put in my royal purple new plugs and leads and a k&n oil filter. so far so good.
touch wood no leaks and isnt using much oil or coolant so looking good.
just curious what u guys think of turbo timers a good investment or over rated?
was going to dyno the car today to see how many of the 250hp make it to the wheels after 20 yrs lol

Ok so to rebuild the teins with softer springs is $1100.
What are some standard rear shocks around as nearly no one up here sells em? Ie pedder doesn't autobarn and repco don't Monroe don't. Any ideas?

Cars been running great bought a turbo smart boost gauge and boost tee. So now I'm running 16psi hehe so much more fun especially through first and second.
Also took it to the drag strip had 4 passes missed a shift in one and managed 14.4 sec on another at 154kph and a 2.1 60 foot so was a pretty good run over All. Now onto shocks and bushings

Hi,
Dont know if you fixed the bushes yet but in qld there is a company called fulcrum suspension that can rebuild all tein coil overs and are the distributers in aus. They also make poly urethane bushes for the gt4 and can fit them. I have the bushes but never put them in yet. With the shocks if you want standard replacement go with kyb, they make them. Good luck

yep i know about fulcrum the do my wheel alignment at $110 for all four corners.
just an update my bonnet scoop trim fell out i dont see how its possible but it did so im not fixing it just gonna save for a rc hood.
still running 15-17psi seems good a bit of smoke out the exhaust im assuming its fuel as it still back fires off throttle occasionally. fun car to drive to to much grip looking at sway bars to get a bit more tail happy

I fyou want to get a bit rear happy, get the whiteline rear sway bar and get a rear strut brace. Whiteline brace requires metal to be cut, C-one does not and there is one on ebay from chine for 100 that looks like the c -one. The sway bar on its own made it better but the brace tightens it all together wi the rest of the body. Would also really recommend getting a front strut brace. makes a massive improvement and also the cucsco underarm brace is good but may hit exhaust if 3 in.

see the car alreasdy has aftermarket k-mac sway bars front and rear so i thought it would be tail happy already.
any way i will look into bracing and a thicker rear bar.

im not sure about employment after uni at the moment so the gt4 is on daily duties and im just leaving as is until i know i have a graduate position then it will be suspension and aircon which i really want before next summer as the queensland 40'c days knock me lol i like the cool.
so hopefully sonner rather then later ill have some big updates right now im just getting from A to B on 15psi :evil: which is fun
