ST205WRC troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I have a 1994 ST205 WRC.
The car developed a weird problem. It cuts fuel really violently at about 8psi.
At least I think it is fuel cut as it feels like fuel cut on overboost.
No Check Engine.
I am puzzled...
I have already replaced the turbo pressure sensor (MAP?) as I had aspare from my now retired ST185 with ST205 swap.
Any suggestions?
I need some help! Please!

Yes I did look up the codes and I have a 34 and 54.
I don't know how long they have been there but I do have an explonation for both.
When I installed the boost controller I had the over boost a few times and 34 is just that - the check engine is supposed to stay ON when this code is detected and I have no check engine when this is happening.
54 is just the IC collant low...

Well, I have replaced the ECU with a spare I know works well and same thing - fuel cut at about 10 psi.
Now the fun will begin... :shrug:

bad wiring on the pressure sensor? I'm not sure what kind of signal those send though.

edit: do you have a wideband? are you perhaps knocking?

map sensor is 5v reference, if it was bad you would have other issues else where
If you can figure it out Les let me know and you can bring it by

Bad iGnitor? It won't set a code, similar to doing a 185-205 electronics fuel cut, and keep getting worse, then disappear at times. I had a customer with this issue. Free revving it would fuel (ignition) cut at low rpm and never consistent.

pressure signal

The 34 is "Overboost" Where is the pressure sensor located ?
Bad wire or bad ground somewhere ?

Do you have a Real boost gauge ? ?he stock one is not very accurate.
What boost are you reaching ?

54 Inter-cooler ECM signal.

Could be the IC level sensor or the pump....
