The BGB for 1993 Celica says in bold letters: "NOTICE: Do not disassemble the outboard Joint."

I'm pretty sure it is possible to disassemble this joint for overhaul (aftermarket rebuilders do) but I'm guessing Toyota intended for it to be replaced as an assembly with the shaft. The EPC also shows all of the outer joints sold assembled to the shaft.

its not imperative that i get the outboard cv off, for this case...but i need to change the boots on my other trac as well, and it appears there is a damper on the shaft and i have no idea how i will get the boot over it..so i was looking for some practice removing the one for the car that doesn't run currently.

all the cv joints are in good working order.. i just wanted to get more familiar with it
