ST165 build thread

Hey guys, new to the Celica. Recently bought an ST165 late August. My experience with cars include my first 01 Civic (hit some black ice, into a guardrail) and my current fun car, a 1988 Chrysler Conquest. Currently down for an engine rebuild.
Bought the ST as a new daily car, $2,400, 165k miles. Needs some TLC.

Edit... pics get resized and chopped up /sadace

Got the thing out, PITA. Almost as bad as working on a Ford. Why do we need to secure all the hard lines to the block?

trashed bearings, lots of play. Someone used RTV instead of gaskets, it clogged come oil flow channels.

Ruined

Where I sit now, need a new turbine and compressor and then I can drive it again. Interior is still out, need to order speakers, a bit more TLC on a very badly flaking trim.
Otherwise car is in great shape.

Progress looks great! If you need a turbo core I can sell one for the price of shipping plus $ for 6-pack of beer. :)

What speakers did you decide upon?

I didnt buy the speakers, turbo is the current setback.

I really need a new turbine and compressor or a blown turbo that I can rebuild myself. Let me know what you got.
