Awesome Project ST165

wooo...so after years and years of looking for Alltrac i finally found one :D
So here was the situation when i first bought the car...it had a no start condition and was neglected by the owner who was trying to sell it for $1,200! after about an hour talking to the owner i was able to get him to drop it to $750...so overall a steal for such a awesome car.
After getting it towed off the street and finally having a chance to take a look at what i had and the damage that was done to it, i found out it had broken cam gears and had jumped the timing so i replace the gears and belt just to be safe. So about two weeks later the car was running not great but moving on its own power.
Problems found so far:
-so many vac lines disconnected
-boost gauge wired to light up but hose just went into the firewall to no where
-exhaust leak after cat
-axleshaft boot was ripped
-oil pressure sensor wire was disconnected
-Cel lights on: 21,32,41,54
-interior was dirty and in need of a serious cleanup
and last but not least the knocking noise  hopefully is nothing serious

Well i guess now for the Good:
-HKS BOV
-new clutch/flywheel and pressure plate
-rebuilt CT26 turbo
-short shifter
-Enkei Rally Comp Rims with new Dunlop Tires

lol dont worry i will...ill be taking a few pics of the engine bay and other parts of the car to fill you in on the condition :|
Im located in the California and know a few people who have owned a alltrac here so hopefully i can get alittle more help on getting it running alot better. The part of me never being done...i had a good laugh knowing on how it is so true, i would take one piece apart and fix it only to find another piece below that piece broken so overall even tho its tough to maintain i wouldnt trade it in for nothing except another Alltrac :D

Its been a good while since ive done a update on my Trac Progress so here it is. So its been about almost a year and things have changed alot regarding everything when it comes to my life and cars....i sold my white trac aka PANDA due to bad knocking/financial problems and school so it had to go which really destroyed me on the inside cause a 1990 Celica GT-S 2.2l just doesnt cut it after owning a Alltrac.
After finishing school and finding a decent job i went looking again for another Trac, which i happen to find hidden on craigslist for 1,200 except Clutch/tranny were out so i punched in the numbers, found a decent towing company and was ready to start again but yet again was still running short on funds so i canceled the purchase and went on with my life trying to fill the Void the Alltrac had left. As the months went by the most AWESOME PERSON IN MY LIFE SURPRIZED ME OUT OF NO WHERE WITH THE FUNDS TO PURCHASE MY SECOND ALLTRAC which was my Lovely Girlfriend who told me she was tired of seeing me talk about it and being sad everytime i find old parts of my old Trac so she gave me the money and said Happy 5year Anniversary!

:D Now time to start over with my new Project Tread so here are the pics and the progress
So i bought this one from a member that formerly use to be one here, he was asking for 1,200 but i was able to get it for 850.00 which was awesome. The car only had one major problem which was the transmission/clutch so i browsed around here found a seller in my area who could also help with installation.

DAY 1 on the way to its new home

So recently I ran into I weird road block on this car surprizingly I didn't know it was going to take forever just to find some front brake pads for a 88 celica Alltrac with ABS! I ran around my area going to different auto parts store trying to find some front pads with no success! Really WTF my car is down due to brake pads, so I've been searching around and ST185 rotor/caliber conversion came up...I know a few people have done it BUT do you feel a difference in proformance wise? Cause I was thinking of going Cross drilled/slotted

Honestly I have no idea if its a real upgrade or not. BUT Im about to swap over to the 911 caliper setup... Wonder if they would work on yours as the st185 stockers do? Anyways I have an extra set of 185 calipers laying around and the set im about to pull off. Hit me up with an offer if you want them.

As you guys know finding a Privacy hatch for a ST165 is like finding gold in your back yard "ITS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN" and i dont have a templet to trace so i made my own custom one ;]

Thank you, surprizingly I used the spare tire cover from a 2010 Nissan versa but a cover from a 09 corolla works well to. Btw took the car out for a spin seeing how it's raining in Cali and all the noise I use to hear is gone so overall a success
