sunroof motor interchangeability?

Hello all!
My sunroof motor is malfunctioning. It wont do anything but come down as if to retract into the roof, but instead imediately goes back up.... :doh:
So i pulled the lil bugger apart n discovered the plastic gear inbetween the metal two was been half eaten.
Im wondrin if maybe i can scoop one out of a same year camry or something idk i cant find the pn its all crusty.
Ne thoughts?

I am actually in the same boat as you. I would assume grabbing a motor from the same years of the chassis would be okay. Meaning like the Gt or Gts of 90-93. I am going to grab a st-Gt-Gts or maybe even a Camry one and see if they look the same at the junk yard. I am sure they won't charge no more than $10 for that motor at the junk yard.

FWD motors work but the control units are different. Same thing as the Camry. It still works but makes for "quirky" operation.
