Here is a video where I test the freeplay in the differentials and etc. Then since I can use 2 hands and have the camera (aka my cell phone lol) on the ground, I try and get the Viscous Coupling to let the rear tires move with the front tires locked into position on the ground.

Here is a view from the other side as I try to get the Viscous Coupling to let the rear tires move with the front tires locked into position on the ground. I was testing this for myself to make sure the rear tires were in fact moving in the SAME direction which means the VC was moving rather than the clutch discs in the rear lsd giving way and the tires would of been moving in opposite direction.

Its good to see you trying to do tests, but i don't think trying different combinations of turning the wheels by hand is going to prove anything at all?

I guess the real test will be on the strip. Some slow motion video of a launch would be great to see!
Seeing 3 or 4 wheels spin up is what we want to see :)

That is hopefully coming in summer ;)

if you go to my youtube channel you can see I made a bunch of videos test fitting 26 inch tall slicks on some 15 x 7.5 rims with a 45mm offset. I think I can make them fit with 17x8 rims with a 35mm offset. M & H makes a 26 x 8.5-17 slick I want to try and run.

Did some work on the car back in April, but didn't have time to post an update. After much hemming/hawing I decided to upgrade to a 6266 turbo, ramhorn manifold and downpipe to make for a more efficient setup. Also installed fr/re GT4 Racing poly bushings, Xii solid motor mounts, ST205 rear-end w/brakes, whiteline rear swaybar, homemade solid rear diff-mount, GC collars/springs, magnaflow mid-muffler, aluminum radiator, Moroso oilpan, MSD 6al-2, interior gauges and some other stuff... I've had parts sitting to do a oversquare 5sgte setup (87.5 bore/86 stroke), so I'm gonna start on that motor once time permits. It's a newer (2001) 5s block and I'll be doing a half-fill on it as well. More to come..

That sexy manifold. I need to get my car down to TN and we can all ride the back roads together.

Been busy working on the car the last few months, so here's a bit of an update on whats been happening. changed fuel rail in late summer and unknowingly pinched two of the injector seals, which led to a lean condition. Two pistons were melted and the head got a bit damaged as well. Decided to go late model 5s block, rebuild the head, go full sequential, and install the Electromotive TEC3 I had sitting for a bit. I also took the opportunity to put a new pad on the flywheel and clean up the wiring with a tuck. Here's the progress so far:

Just like Perry, I can't stop looking at the pics on the phone. Coming along!! And strong! Making me feel like I'm at a standstill with the other two. If this and other projects aren't inspiring, I don't know what is. Keep it up.

Looks great. When my Alltrac was white I painted my valve cover a very similar color. I loved it in a white car.

What size injectors? And what type of fuel? I can send you my TEC3 map and tweak it for your stuff. It should get you to be able to start the car and drive decent right away. Obviously you'll have to make changes but it would be a great base tune to work off of.

Didn't realize you did a color change on your car; there's no evidence of white that I've seen.

I'm still planing to reach out to you regarding building the plug wires, but I saw that you've gone back to the Magnecor; I know you hated the color in the past. I have a set of universal Taylor 8.8s (blk), so hopefully those will work for the time being. On the old setup I was running the timing map I got from you and it worked really well, while still being conservative. I have access to both 104 oct and E85, but want to get familiar with the system using 93 and 104 first. I'm running a set of 1500cc for now until I decide on 2200cc or a dual rail setup using injectors I already have. I already have the extra rail and injectors, so it would just be a matter of getting the bosses and fabbing it up. I would definitely appreciate help getting it setup and running while I learn to navigate the system.

Making some progress on the car, but between work/home and being a bit anal with the build, it's taking a while  . I didnt want to mount anything forward of the shock towers, so It made for limited real-estate. Finally picked up a tig welder as well :D
