Welding rear diff/VC

So I have a st165. The 1988 165 doesn't come with any LSD in the front or rear. I'm currently in the build of a 500 + awhp setup.

What is everybody's thoughts about welding the rear end for traction?

Then for my understanding and from tearing apart the transmission the front end is all time pulling. The job of the VC is when there is slippage on the front tires to engage the rear tires and at this time it would be a 50/50 split.

I haven't got it tore apart to the transfer case yet to get to the VC but has anybody tried making it solid so that the rear and front pull all the time so only slip that would be possible would be awd slippage instead of front and then tge rear engaging?

There are some threads on uprated VC that are stronger and lock faster. One member removed the fluid and fused the discs of the VC. I am unsure of the results of that.

Thanks im sure that there is no downfall except maybe being out of balance.
