First off, all credit goes to Redsawn with his thread that was very helpful.

*How I did my ST205 front brake caliper install using IS rotors. . .

-I purchased aftermarket drilled and slotted 2005 Lexus IS300 rotors and 54.1mm to 60.1mm hub bore rings (for centering rotors).
-Had a friend drill additional holes in the rotors for the 5x100mm bolt pattern.

-Had same friend machine ~6mm from caliper mounting surfaces (pad side), leaving ~11mm of material.

-Doing this centers the caliper for this rotor.

-From a local hardware store I purchased four 12x1.25mm nuts and bolts, the bolts I got were too long so I cut them to ~35mm.
-The dust shields need to be trimmed by the top of calipers and may need manipulating around the ball joint area to clear the rotors. The outer edge of the shields may also need manipulating to clear the rotors. My trimming doesn't look pretty in this pic but this was a rough start, I cleaned it up later.

-I had to go back and disassemble everything after noticing a faint grinding sound on the first test drive, I found that it was coming from a small section on each dust shield’s mounting plate. It will need to be removed since the inner diameter of the IS300 rotor is smaller and will grind against this surface if left untouched. I used an angle grinder.

-I mounted the calipers with the nuts closest to rotor for ease of future servicing (caliper or rotor), easily accessible with pads removed.

Tips:
-A telescoping magnet (pick up tool) works great for holding nuts in place between the hub and rotor while getting bolts started.
-I found in my searching that ST205 brake pads are the exact same as 93-98 Supra Twin turbo pads (Front: 04465-14150 and Rear: 04466-14040).

*Disclaimer: This is an example of how I how I completed my 205 front brake install, perform at your own risk. I do not assume any responsibility or liability for any damages.

I haven't thought to take a pic of the completed set-up till yesterday after washing the car, here's the fitment inside a 17" wheel.

what's the distance between the disc and the ball joint in the front? nice write up!

The specifics like that I never measured however there is a gap. Next time I have the wheel off I'll measure it and/or take a picture.

Here's a clip I just took of the heat shield (click on image below for vid), forcing toward the joint to show there's clearance between the ball joint and shield. . . obviously there's clearance the other direction too since I have no grinding from the shield and rotor. So with this, I see no issue but I'm no engineer :)
