Old thread, but can you take a picture and post it of the door handle looking from the outside toward the door handle? I have a hard time understanding how you don’t have a tumbler (door lock) in you door handle). Do you have the original 4-digit key code that was provided to the original owner when the car was first sold? If not, a Toyota dealer should be able to take your ignition key and determine that 4-digit code. Then take any tumbler from a 5th Gen Celica to a locksmith and ask them to reset the tumblers to match your 4-digit code. Then use your ignition key to verify it works properly. Then install the new tumbler.fvkagi":2tvdh9vu said:I did not get the tumbler for that handle, is there anyway a locksmith or something could help me out? If not I guess I will just have to trust the electronic lock... also thanks for the replies!
