Transmission work before installing

Postby 4thgenceli » Fri Nov 12, 2021 3:14 pm

I forgot who/where I got this transmission from, it was someone here in town though that's about all I can recall. I have a St165 transmission sitting here in my garage (I believe with the transfer case attached as well) - just trying to figure out what I should do to it before installing it. I need some parts for it to connect it to everything (mounts, brackets, etc.) - wondering if it would be worth the effort to pull it a part and do any work to it before installing? It's been a while since I've done anything on one of these transmissions, last one I messed with was an E153 trans from the other gen4 swap I did.

Snychros and bearings?

These seem to last unless you beat the crap out of them.
