I'm looking for a new set of tires. I drive mostly in the city put I also do a fair bit of rally style driving. I want a set of tires that would be suit this. By the way I have 17" rims with 215x50 tires, although I might sell them to get 16s so I can fit taller tires. Should I try to sell these rims? Is there a way to tell the tallest tire I could fit without bottoming out and hitting the tire, or rub when turning? Thanks for the help guys.

type tire size caluculator into google and go to the miata site - they have a cool thing that tells you what you can run that will = stock diameter or what the deviation will be

off topic... if you were caught speeding, but ur speedo says you were doing the speed limit... and you actually test it out with the cop, do u still get the ticket?

You may want to put rims on that can actually take rally-style driving....

17" is kinda big.

Buy some 15" steel wheels or something that will NOT bend or break.

Buy some Kumho rally tires from tire rack.

Have fun..
