My new project: 1998 RAV4 2-door

Postby r-town » Wed Mar 06, 2019 8:40 pm

So after searching for a long time I finally found a 1998 Rav4 2-door 5-speed 4wd. I was wondering if any of you Alltrac owners have swapped a 3sgte (ST205 or ST215) into this mini-suv. Probably going to join a Rav4 forum soon, but just wanted to check here first.

I've heard of a few people swapping them, they seem like an awesome sleeper.

Prime Performance aka Prime Driven these days. They swapped a GEN 4 in one. You can also turbocharge the engine you have. I wouldn't bother 3S swapping it to be honest. Toyomoto used to offer a turbo kit for them. Relatively easy to replicate for cheap. 3S manifold, CT26/20 turbo and the rest are universal parts. Not hard to do. And cheaper like i mentioned.
