replacing stock 02 sensor with wideband?

I have an AFR gauge kit that uses a wideband sensor. Unfortunately I was unable to add a second bung for the new sensor, so I'll need to do a direct replacement of the original sensor. Fortunately, the AFR gauge includes an analog narrow band output which I can supposedly connect to the factory harness' signal wire to emulate the narrow band sensor.

The question is though, do I need to do anything else to avoid throwing codes or other problems? I think the factory sensor has a heater wire that's supposed to draw something like 2 amps on a 6 or 10 ohm circuit. Is the ECU going to freak out if those wires aren't connected to anything? Do I need to wire in a load resistor or something?

The wideband (AKA A:F sensor) also has a heater. It won't work right if it's not heated.
Should be the same as the O2 sensor heater. Use those wires.
