Rear subframe poly bushings. Use stoppers?

Postby Menoxz » Wed Sep 04, 2019 1:04 pm

Hello! I'm changing the rear subframe bushings to poly. Do I need to reuse the metal plates that had some sad crumbling rubber?

They originally were bushings. I would reuse them so the new bushings aren't directly against the chassis.

Thinking about vibration issues?

Also got an answer from gt4 racing said it was up to me. Works fine either way he said

I'll make the plates new and shiny and slap them on either way since everything is off the vehicle.

Thanks!

When I installed mine, I cleaned them up on a wire wheel and gooped them up with the silicone grease that came with my bushing set. That stuuf sticks around for a really long time. Keeps things from rusting.
