Someone got a good deal. Bummer that Mike didn't get the 9k he was looking for. Wonder if it will be driven or flipped on BAT?

Mint sciroccos are getting way more $$ on BAT than celicas and those cars don't even have a race lineage. So strange.

I really don't understand the way the fan bases for vehicles works. The best I can figure it's like Whose Line Is It Anyway. The values are made up and how good a car actually is doesn't matter.

Back on eBay again. Wonder if high bidder backed out? This time there is a reserve and $10k BIN? What is going on here?

No clue, seems sketchy. Whoever this goes to, I hope it stays stock. Great time capsule.

So weird. I really want to buy it but I can't afford another project that isn't running right.

My guess is the seller had a buddy bid on it since he didnt want to let it go for that low. That explains the reserve now that is higher then the original auction selling price.

This guy has no clue the value of the car and wants way to much. Especially with the current shit going on.....

Out of curiosity, what do you think is a fair purchase price for this particular All-Trac, based on the condition seen in the pics provided?

I sold mine 7 years ago in similar shape, less wear for $5500 (See my previous build). Somebody desperate to find one in this condition might pay $9000 but it's going to take a while. Also, we have no idea what the undercarriage looks like. You can import LHD GT-Four cars for about $7500-$12000 depending on condition and miles. I could have had one for $8500 with 82,000kms.
Anyways, it's worth whatever you're willing to pay. I'm assuming with rarity ramping up and stock going down we're looking at $7500 within the rust belt. He wants $9000 which isn't unheard of, but still a stretch. With Covid-19 looming, it's unlikely to go for that value.
Alltracs still pop up time to time, there was a mint condition one in NYC for 6 grand from a dealer. Just keep a look out if you're willing to wait, and who knows - people will start to get desperate the longer this lock-down goes with no jobs. I'm assuming we're going to start seeing some really rare cars pop up soon!

This was the last BAT auction on a similar car. Note the last minute duel between two bidders that took it up to $9700 Without that duel it would be at $8500

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1990- ... ll-trac-5/

Then this car which had compatible mileage went for less than $6000 in 2016

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1990- ... rac-turbo/

That one was before BAT became the preferred location to sell rare cars and didn't see much traffic.

He listed it again. 5 day auction. Same stipulations

Excellent feedback and assessments. I'm sure current value in this COVID-19 situation has plummeted also, as stated earlier. Appreciate the responses.

No plummet yet really but we will see in a month or so. Still a plummet in Alltrac values is essentially a thousand or so dollars. You can get that much off a car any day any model.

So it is fairly meaningless
