You might want to ask this person with the Craigslist car about these parts?

There is an 89 convertible in the salvage yard near me, but it has been there a while and is pretty picked over. I don't know the color of the interior. I'm pretty sure there is an 87 there also that is more recent. But again, I don't check these years over as I typically hunt for 5th Gen Celica parts there.

I did ask the seller. They aren't picking or shipping.

So the seller wants pickers to come to his home to take parts off the car parked there and pay him - so local transactions only? If so, would have been nice for the person to advertise that way.

You can check www.car-part.com for those, but because they are relatively low cost items, many salvage yards don't itemize things on their cars of that small value.

Not being snarky but that is how Craigslist works. Local sales that you meet people at their house or a business. A lot of ads have little info but a phone number and a crappy photo.

Yeah I use car-part but a dashboard most are black and not blue. Plus their inventory doesn't necessarily change if the car got crushed at some point.

This may be informative to others but personally I make my spare money picking cars here in Colorado and selling those parts on eBay. I go to junkyards or visit peoples houses once a week. I've had some success with ST165 parts but this blue dash board has eluded me. Thanks for the convo.

Thanks for the informative response - I learned something. I've never heard of cars being picked apart for parts at the owner's home by craigslist adds. This is my first understanding of this "norm". No snark-ism picked up. Learned something new today - all good.

All good. Seems like a good way to make a few extra $$ before selling the car to the scrap yard or donating. Wish more people did that. So many cars out there rotting away on people's property. We should be recycling everything IMO
