Are you happy with them? I've seen them before, but I'm not familiar with the brand. I don't have tons of coilover experience - I had Megan EZ Street coilovers on my '00 GT-S...they were passable, as expected from budget coils. My '02 GT-S had BC Racing coilovers and they seemed to ride OK considering the car was basically slammed. I probably would've kept them on if the height adjustment hadn't been seized. It was probably lowered by 3.5" or more when I bought the car. Too much for me. I wound up buying TEIN springs & KYB AG-X shocks with all new OEM rubber bits & KYB mounts for it. Probably silly, considering how much all that rubber cost me.

Anyway, all that to say I wasn't sure on the quality of CEIKA, but I'd always heard good stuff about Feal - though not firsthand. Not that I'll probably be pushing this car to the limits or anything.

Really, if I knew what to do about all the old/hard/cracked/discontinued rubber bits of the oem strut assemblies, I'd probably just try to refresh them with new shocks/mounts & rubber. I think the springs are still OK. But...old rubber is old rubber, and as far as I know there's no way to replace those parts of the struts.

I refreshed mine a couple years back and I found all the parts I needed. I think isolators I had to buy from Amayama, inserts and mounts from RockAuto. My KYB front mounts didn't live very long so I wouldn't recommend them.

Unfortunately, when I looked, now Amayama says discontinued, as do the other parts from Japan type places I’ve found. But it’s possible there’s still stuff somewhere. I have a set of front inserts that came with the car and had already purchased some KYB front mounts. But then I looked at the rubber and thought “why bother” 😅

Yeah, in my searching around I saw a post where you mentioned not being too happy with the Ceika coilovers.

I've seen feedback on other forums with negative feedback on Feal.

We don't have tons of options of course, so when I ran across these, I thought it'd be worth asking! The price with upgrading to Swift springs is around the base price of Feals. But...I don't see much out there re: bspoke, even on other car forums.

I think the member Zaluss on here found some, or an option of sorts that was pretty good. I recall chatting with him about it.
Probably need to search here or message him.

I’d actually like a factory ride, nothing stiff at all.
I contacted Ceika about my unhappiness and bought a set of their softest springs and replaced them. Still absolutely kidney jarring!

That is strange you're having such a rough ride on the Ceikas. :( I'm really enjoying mine thus far and all I requested was OEM ride height and quality when I made my order. Definitely not tooth loosening stiffness and are certainly softer than my old Eibach (430lb/in front, 300lb/in rear) spring kit on OEM struts. I have the struts set to their softest as well

Decided to ask if Ceika had any plans to offer Swift springs as an upgrade. The answer was no, but that I could order a set without springs ($80 usd discount), order Swift springs separately, and let them know the spring rates I went with and they would valve them accordingly.

Not sure I'll actually go that route, but might look into it. Still trying to check more into bspoke as well.

Went out today with a plan to add fuel stabilizer and top off the tank for winter.

When I removed the cap, gas came spilling out pretty quickly. All over the side of the car and a small puddle.

I believe the P.O. removed the charcoal canister, may have something to do with it? I’ve only taken the cap off when it was mostly empty before this. Currently it’s mostly full (only driven maybe 25 miles or so since I had it filled with non-ethanol gas a couple months back).

Any suggestions? I can’t really add stabilizer with it like this, and I assume it’s not ideal to have so much pressure & lack of venting.

Hey there ! If you put non ethanol fuel in it then why add the stabilizer ? i use that on my lawn equipment and i've never used stabilizer since. To add to your coil over discussion , I'll be going with the BC's on Black 165 after I finish the engine on White 165 #2 ....

The stabilizer helps prevent the loss of volatility in gasoline, not just prevent ethanol from causing problems. A mower probably wouldn't notice the loss, but a turbocharged car might.

As for the pressurizing of the gas tank, check up front in the engine bay where the vacuum line went into the canister. See if it is plugged or capped off. This would need to be extended higher than the gas tank but without the canister you will get some fuel smell.

I am starting to lean towards st185 coils since there are more options (like BCs). Silver’s Neomax being another brand I was going to check out. Had BC’s on my ‘02 GT-S when I bought it but barely got a taste of them. One was seized at a too low for me setting, I did eventually bust it loose but had already changed to TEIN springs with AGX shocks…so I sold them. Probably should’ve held onto them but oh well.

As for the stabilizer - basically just trying to cover my bases and keep the fuel & tank as good condition as possible…and there was also still some ethanol gas in there since it wasn’t empty when I filled up (other fill ups being normal ~10% ethanol gas).
