I don't trust my dremel skills to be straight enough. 😅 I imagine they need to sit reasonably flush and not be too thick either.

I'm also not sure the OD & ID, though I guess I can go measure the current OD, and I believe I've read they're a mm thick? So ID 2mm less, I'd imagine.

But seems lots of guys say they've been running them with nothing, without issues. Not sure I like that idea though. Roads here suck.
 
Tube you can just cut with a hand held tubing cutter and file to adjust as needed. A smidge thin should be fine since you're just trying to hold the bolt perpendicularly, you just don't want it too thick.

If you can't find tube with the right ID and OD you could even modify something that's too large as long as the wall thickness is correct.
